It was narrated that ‘Abdullah, that is, ibn’ Amr, said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: No one who reads the Qur’an in less than three days understands correctly.
Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (2949), Abu Dawood (1390), and Ibn Maajah (1347); classed as Saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and grace of Allah be upon him) said: “Read the Qur’an in a month.” I said: I am able to do better than that… Before he said: “Then read it once every seven days, and do not do any more than that.”
Aisha reported: “I asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! What do I supplicate in it, if I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree),? ” He responded, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).” [At-Tirmidhi].
But note, we haven’t been told what night this Layl Tul Qadr happens, so recite it every odd night of the last ten nights as much as you can so Allah tala can forgive us all. After all, whoever Allah tala forgives readily, what else will we need?
In the Night of Qadr, we sent it [the Qur’an] down. And what will let you know what Qadr’s Night is like? The Qadr Night is so much better than a thousand months. With the permission of your Father, the angels and the Spirit descend into it, along with every command. Peace before the beginning of Dawn (Q. 97)
